The Katy DBT Center is excited to announce our first annual DBT summer camp for adolescents. The program will consist of skills groups covering the four DBT modules of:
• Mindfulness (non-judgmental awareness).
• Distress tolerance (getting through an emotional crisis without making things worse).
• Emotion regulation (decreasing the intensity and duration of unwanted emotions).
• Interpersonal effectiveness (Getting our needs and wants met in relationships without damaging the relationship or our self-esteem).
The program will also consist of a family group and individual therapy sessions. We gladly accept Aetna and Beacon insurances. All other insurance plans will be offered super-receipts for out-of-network reimbursement.

This group is an 8 session (14-18 year old) program for male and female high school student athletes, in which tools and skills are developed to enhance athletic performance.
Topics may include, but not limited to: Performance anxiety or energy management, attention and concentration control (focusing), communication, goal setting, and playing at the next level. Participants will develop personal goals and work through mental obstacles in their life and sport.
The purpose of this group is to assist members in gaining new skills and collaboration amongst each other while being guided therapeutically. The clinician was a multi-sport high school player, collegiate level softball player, and fitness competitor. She is a personal trainer, mental strength coach and LPC-Intern with a passion for helping athletes play at their full potential.
Mental health professionals are invited to join us for dinner and networking followed by a movie and panel discussion. Two CEUs are provided .

This group is an 8 session (18+) program for women in which tools and skills are developed to manage anxiety. This group combines peer support and therapeutic interventions to assist with anxiety.
We will discuss identifying and challenging thoughts/self-talk that lead to anxiety. We will also review relaxation, exposure and mindfulness techniques. Participants will develop personal goals and work through obstacles in their life. Topics may include, but not limited to: panic disorder, agoraphobia, social Anxiety, OCD, and Generalized Anxiety disorder.
The purpose of this group is to assist members in gaining new insights and collaboration amongst each other while being guided therapeutically.

Students will be gaining skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation.
